A huge welcome to all our members , sponsors and supporters to a new rugby season.
Here are some updates we would like to share with you.
Firstly we are very proud to announce our Platinum club sponsor PMEP, Michelle and Nick Penston, whos support is second to none. Press release to come in the coming weeks.

Facilities & Grounds

• Terrace Wall and Dugouts currently being plastered. ( No boots on terrace :-) )

• Lights & Units to be installed in Container ( For use on Minis mornings)

• Floors in the club house to be repaired in the coming weeks

• Pitches stitched and Fertilised ( Funded by pitch signs currently on sale). Rosie and Jim thank you for your 3 pitch signs currently being printed.

• New Post pads ordered for First Pitch - Thank you Wild Rover Tours.

Rugby

• Seniors & Port Dara Srs back Training - Games will all be uploaded to the website.

• Youths Teams Back on the pitch - New U18.5 team in place this year. All games will be posted on website also

• Port Dara Youth teams back - Monday in Port, Wednesday in Cill Dara, starting at 20.00

• All senior teams and youths jerseys and gear sponsored by PMEP

Capital Projects
- We hope to receive good news on Match Lights for the 1st Pitch in the coming weeks - Fingers Crossed !

Club Events

• Club Book Launched in a highly successful event in the Heritage Hotel - Books can still be purchase here https://ti.to/portarlington-rugby-club/book-50-year-history-of-portarlington-rfc or in the wine Buff in Town.

• Summer Camp was back this year and was extremely successful and will be back in 2025

• Golf Classic Is next Friday 6th of September and we have a huge list of sponsors which we are extremely proud of.

• Players Fund Fundraiser incoming in October

• The Big Fundraiser at Christmas - To be released - But this will be a cracker and very funny on many levels !

Finally, like any club, all membership must be paid before we play any competitive game. Its fundamental to how we can continue to operate and ensure an excellent experience for all our club members.
